Percy is now the chief of pest control at the Dartmoor Railway, but the start of life for our beloved team member was a struggle. Percy was found as a stray in a very poor way and was rescued by Mitzis Kitty Corner where we found him, and his railway career began. He has settled into life at Dartmoor Railway better than anyone could have imagined and is adored by all of the staff and volunteers. Some might find it surprising to find that some of his biggest fans are the burly men from the Permanent way maintenance team, who spoil him rotten.

If you visit us at the Dartmoor Railway you’ll be sure to spot him in one of his various favorite spots or over seeing some of the onsite staff at their work, he likes to keep them all in check.
